RALEIGH FIFTH GRADERS GET A PEEK AT THE HARSH REALITIES OF ADVERTISING 02.09.07 Art Director David Kilian gave Conn Elementary Magnet School's fifth graders a peek behind the scenes of advertising, with the message of not to always believe everything you see or hear on TV. The students learned some examples of the secrets of special effects, photos shoots and photo retouching, made especially poignant with Dove's 'Evolution' commercial that you may have seen recently, showing the surprising time-lapse transformation of a model. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a peek. |

BAGHDAD TOY DRIVE A HUGE SUCCESS 08.15.06 UPDATE: A huge, resounding THANK YOU from Sgt. Chris Miles and the 40th Engineering Battallion in Baghdad for the overwhelming generosity on donations of food, toys, school supplies and clothing. Although they regret not being able to thank everyone personally for their donations, they received more than enough donations to make a positive impact on the lives of the children they came in daily contact with. KILLER CREATIVE GROUP COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR BAGHDAD PLATOON 07.12.06 With all the hard news coming out of the Middle East of late, wanted to pass along some good news for a change. The image at left links to a .pdf of a recent newspaper article (from PA) about Art Director David Kilian's brother-in-law, Sgt. Chris Miles, whose 26-man platoon is on daily combat patrol in volatile southern Baghdad, and how they are making a positive influence in the lives of the families they come in daily contact with, with donations of candy, shoes, toys, and school supplies--mostly paid out of their own paychecks. However the platoon has put out a request for help, with a timeframe of the next 30 days, for additional contributions, of 'anything' (such as basic food staples, sandals or shoes, toys, candy, blankets, notebooks, pencils, childrens and infants clothing). Chris and his platoon would be extremely grateful for your help and generosity. Killer Creative Group will be accepting donations at our office (801 Oberlin Rd., Suite 330, Raleigh) and would gladly send out any donations on your behalf. If you have questions or comments on sending items, call Killer Creative Group at 919-832-5073. kind regards, -Dave and Sonya Kilian |
